This is a place of sharing the wonders of a land and the peoples of a place that is now called Idaho, an area located in the interior of the Western North American Continent.

                                                                      Picture
19 million years ago, the Snake River Plain did not exist.  No Owyhee Mountains, no Snake River Canyons,  no Hell's Canyon, no lava fields.  High Granite peaks towered over a rugged landscape created when massive bubble like plutons of melted crust rose to the surface to become the Idaho Batholith, but there was no Snake River Plain as we know it.

Around 20 million years ago, three factors contributed to the initial formation of the Snake River Plain.  The first factor was a massive stationary hotspot that was located along an ancient spreading sea floor boundary.  These hotspots occur in several places in the earth's crust.  The second factor was that the North American plate was moving slowly westward over the adjacent plate.  This over riding resulted in accretion of islands onto the encroaching North American plate and the formation of large fracture zones and the upwelling of lava from the subduction zone.  The third factor was the unique combination of the hot spot, the subduction zone crustal melting and the burning through of the subducting plate by the hot spot.  The result was a tremendous outpouring of melted rock, crust and mantle lavas in gigantic super volcanic eruptions.  In the wake of these eruptions, over the ages, mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, forests and deserts have formed in this wonderful place.  Ice age glaciers and floods have remade the face of the land.  In the midst of this bounty, Peoples have lived here for 10's of thousands of years, making a living, raising families and existing in this beautiful part of the earth.  The Snake River Plain is a wondrous place, indeed!

"INADU" is the Tsalagi word for "Snake". The snake is a powerful creature and a Guardian of the Underworld.  I value them as my allies.

I have grown up and learned to live in this world that was created by all of those forces, both natural and cultural.  Walk a bit in my shoes and let me show you some of my visions of it ..................................
